Post Study Work Visa (subclass 485)
This is for international students who have just completed a degree from an Australian institution. It allows the applicant to temporarily live, work and study in Australia.
This visa permits you:
- Reside in Australia, for between 2 to 4 years depending on your qualification.
- Live, study and work in Australia temporarily after you have finished your studies
Travel:
- Applicants can travel outside of Australia and return as many times as they wish, provided the visa is valid.
- The time spent by the applicant outside Australia will not extend the visa.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be under 50 years of age.
- Applicant must hold an eligible visa and meet the English proficiency requirement.
- Have a recent degree in a CRISCO-registered course.
- Your obligations: You and your family must comply with all visa conditions and Australian laws.
- Applicant and his/her family must provide evidence of adequate health insurance for all applicants when you apply.
- Have paid outstanding debt (if any) to the Australian Government: If the applicant, as a member of the applicant’s family, has a debt to the Australian Government, it must be repaid or at least formally adjusted for repayment.
- Australian Values Statement: You must sign the Australian Declaration of Values, which guarantees that you will comply with all Australian laws and their way of living.
- You must find your own employment while on this visa. Australian government is not responsible for arrangement of the same.
Include family
- You can include members of the family unit in your application when you apply..
- Family members applying for a visa must meet our health and character requirements.
- You can add your child to the application until your application is decided. You will not be able to add family members to the application at this time.
