Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)
The Temporary Graduate visa is specially designed for recent international graduates who have completed at least 2 years of study at an Australian educational institution. It allows international students to live, enroll and work after studying in Australia. Who has recently graduated with the skills and qualifications needed for the jobs in Australia? It allows you to live temporarily, apply to study, and work in Australia temporarily.
This visa allows you:
- To live in Australia, generally for 18 months. Temporarily extended to 24 months for visas granted from 1 December 2021.
- Travel, work or study in Australia during your stay.
- Applicant can bring his/her family in Australia.
Eligibility Criteria to apply for temporary grduate visa (subclass 485 visa) in Melbourne
- You must be under 50 years of age.
- To be eligible for this visa you need to have finished your course in the 6 months right now earlier than the day you apply.
- Have a qualification relevant to an occupation on the skilled occupation list.
- We will not be able to issue you this visa if we have previously issued you a visa of subclass 485 or subclass 476 as the primary visa holder.
- you held a student visa within the past 6 months before your application and you now hold a substantive visa
- Applicant must find his/her own employment on grant of visa. Government is not responsible for arranging employment.
- Applicant and his/her family must meet all visa conditions and follow Australian laws.
